Fish
If you are a fan of a Croissant & avocado &smoked salmon fan, you might be sad to know you have to start avoiding smoked salmon for the duration of the pregnancy and breastfeeding.
You are allowed to consume cooked fish with a lower amount of mercury once or twice a week such as salmon (oily fish), squid, mussels, crab, no more than 4 cans of tuna, cod and tilapia. It is actually recommended to include fish in your diet because it provides your body with Omega 3 which is essential for fetal development, but you must take in consideration the pollutants which are mainly present in Sea bass and Sea Bream and can affect the womb.

Processed Meat
Undercooked or raw meat might cause toxoplasmosis. Avoid cured meat, smoked meat, prociutto, pepperoni, chorizo. During pregnancy you feel hungry especially in the first part of the day, so unless you have a protein-vegetable based breakfast, you might want to consider cooked ham, cooked chicken breast, cooked beef slices as snack in between meals with homous or cucumber.

Eggs
Raw eggs might cause food posinioning which can be harmful for you and your baby. Eat well cooked eggs and avoid mousse or homemade mayonnaise, unless the label mentions they have used cooked eggs. One treat I missed the most during my pregnancy was Tiramisu as it contains raw eggs. Always check the label or with the Chef if you are in a Restaurant.

Dairy Products
All daily products you wish to consume must be pasteurized.
If you fancy Cheesecake, make sure you read the label. If you are a cheese lover, most probbably you would have consumed already cheese before you found out you are pregnant, but don't worry, just make sure to read the label moving forward.
Meat
It is important to have a diversity in your diet during preganancy and alternating the meat is important. Avoid raw meat, undercook meat, Medium rear Steak, Liver Products, Patte, including vegetarian patte, Meat from Peasant, Partridge or Goose.

Skin & Care Cupboard:
Be ready to donate a lot of your skincare products. Retinol and other acids can be found is many products and cannot be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Eyebrow and Eyelashes serum might have to be removed your cupboard too. Take time to go through all your products and check online the label if you don't have the box for some products anymore.
During preganncy, you will develop an allergy reaction to certain products you have been using prior to getting pregnant. It is normal, so avoid using them again and replace with Non Fragrance care products such as Cerave Moisturizer (Body Cream), Bioderma Shawer Gel .

Clothing:
Embrace your body changing as the baby is growing as it is an unique moment and it only lasts for 9 months. Stop wearing tide clothing as soon as you find out you are pregnant. Any tide clothing will restrict the blood flow which is vital for you and baby's development.
Travelling:

If you have anything planned in the first 3 months of pregnancy, so most likely the next 2 months after you find out, you might want to reassess as you get closer to the flying time, as some pregnancy symtomps like nausia, fatigue might prevent you from having a confortable time dueing your flight. Airlines have no restrictions for pregnancy until the end of 3rd trimester.
My advice to all moms to be is to listen to their intuition and only fly if they feel relaxed and comfortable with the idea. Train journeys are safer and if you strech your legs regurarly, there is no risk.

Enjoy this moment and when you reach 3 months of pregnancy and have informed all your family and friends, start making a list of what you need for yourself, Nursery Room, anything that you dreamed to have for your first baby and purchase those items one by one. Keep an eye on sales, especially Christmas, Easter, January and July Sales.
Medication Cupboard

Except of Pregnacare, the mix of vitamins for pregnancy or Folic Acid if you have been advsied to take additional to the Pregnacare, you are now restricted to majority of medication you used to take. You have to advise with the Doctor or Pharmacist if you require medication as they have special formulas for pregnancy and breastfeeding. Paracetamol remains a safe option for you are very limited to how much you can take.
